“School just got back in session and my kids are already getting tired of the snacks and lunches I pack for them!” is something we hear daily! We all know how picky kids can be, so finding something to change up the menu is hard to do. As parents, it can get so boring making the same thing for our kids every single day… and we know they’re getting tired of it too.
Make them excited for snack time and lunch! This is supposed to be a time for kids to socialize as well as feed their appetites in an always-buzzing lunch room. That also throws another element into the issue – the food has to be something packable, and something easily consumed (with preferably no messes)!
Don’t worry, we’ve come up with a TON of ideas for you to use for lunch time, as well as a genius idea for snack time!
Leftovers: These are easy to send off with your kids because you’ve already done the hard work the night before; the actual cooking part! Grab your favorite Circle B Ranch pork products and smoke them the night before for a no-hassle pack for lunch.
Soup: Heat and pour into a thermos for your kids to enjoy for an easy lunch – especially when the weather starts to cool down!
Mini pizzas: Assemble beforehand and have them pop in the microwave during lunch for a simple meal.
Salad: If your kids are older, they’re sure to appreciate this lighter and more sophisticated lunch!
Sandwiches: Turn this into an interactive meal by having your kids make it themselves in the morning! This is a great way to make your kids feel involved in the decision of what they’re going to eat (perfect for picky eaters!).
Quesadillas: A quick idea you can pop in the oven or quesadilla maker for five minutes to turn out perfectly!
DIY “Lunchable”: Have THEM decide how their lunch is going to go by giving them all the ingredients they’d need – but don’t put them together!
Hard-boiled eggs: Packed with good protein, this is a great choice for the kids that love breakfast for all meals!
